So, what is God Confidence? Well, it’s putting our confidence in God! :) It looks like Romans 8:28-39 (NKJV):
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written:
“For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
GOD IS ALL FOR US!
If God is for you, who can successfully be against you? Jesus laid down His life for you! No one took Jesus’ life . . . He laid it down. Jesus could have been delivered any time He wanted to.
Knowing that “all things work together for good to those who love God” gives GOD-CONFIDENCE! We can walk in faith about who He is towards us and have no fear. When we know His great love for us, fear leaves us completely – no fear of failure, rejection, being wrong, catastrophe, etc.
Self-confidence, on the other hand, does not relieve us of any of those fears. Let that self-confidence go! We can lay down our life and take up His! If we lay down our life for His sake, we will find it! “He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it” (Matt 10:39).
We are living a life of death as long as we hold onto self-confidence. God’s got us! “I’m good. Yes, Lord, I’ll serve you!” Jesus said it this way “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness” . . . and all these things will be added to you supernaturally. Blessings will chase us down the street when we give ourselves to Him entirely. God will lift us up because we won’t do things for our own glory. When He can trust us to work for His glory, He exalts us and puts us in positions to speak with Kings – because we will not be there for self, but for the Father.
THAT IS GOD CONFIDENCE
